Product Owner
About the role
Are you an aspiring product owner who wants to solve important customer problems, thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and wants to be hands-on with AI every day? Do you love digging into how customers work and turning what you learn into products they rely on?
Boostr is looking for a Product Owner to help drive the next evolution of our platform. We have an amazing product, and we ship multiple releases a month. We're not a slow-moving legacy cloud solution that makes three releases a year.
AI is at the center of how we build. It's in the product our customers use every day, and it's in how our own team works, from discovery and specs through QA and support. We're looking for someone who's excited by that, not intimidated by it.
Here's what you'd be doing
- Work on a product area's backlog with senior team members: write clear user stories and acceptance criteria, help prioritize, and be a go-to person for engineering during the sprint
- Contribute to the product roadmap and build and manage product requirements
- Work with UX and engineering to deliver products, multiple releases a month
- Engage with customers and partners to shape the future of Boostr products
- Help define what "good" looks like for AI-powered features, including when outputs aren't deterministic
- Use AI tools every day to move faster: synthesizing customer feedback, drafting specs, analyzing data, and prototyping ideas before they reach engineering
- Partner with support and QA to triage issues and turn what you learn into backlog improvements
- Research the competitive landscape, including how competitors are using AI
Job requirements
- Highly analytical problem solver with strong attention to detail, comfortable working with data, whether that's spreadsheets, SQL, or asking an AI the right questions about a dataset
- Hands-on with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar) and curious about where they help and where they fall short. Tell us how you use them today.
- Good judgment about AI output: you check it, you don't just ship it
- Jack of all trades. We're a startup, so there's no neat box of roles and responsibilities. If you can't handle ambiguity, don't like gray areas, or aren't biased toward action, this isn't the right place.
- Motivated to solve customer problems through technology
- Communicates clearly with cross-functional teams, including engineering, QA, support, and customer success
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. Or convince us you deeply understand technology.
- Likes to get stuff done and have fun
Preferred qualifications
- Prior product owner or product management experience
- Understanding of the advertising and media landscape
- Familiarity with APIs and integrations
- Experience shipping or working on AI-powered product features, such as LLM-based products or agents
- Experience with B2B SaaS workflow products, CRM, or order management systems
